Dear AAF Community,
We are thrilled to announce our AAF Fall Road Show! The week of September 18th, myself, our Executive Director, and many members of our Board of Directors will be traveling throughout the State to attend our Regional Meetings. As you may know, we divide the State of Florida into 7 regions, each led by a Regional Director.
During our Fall Road Show, we will hold a meeting in each region where members will come together with one another to connect with AHJs in meaningful ways, share best practices with one another and hear from our Executive Committee and Board Members about some exciting new plans for the future of AAF! Trust me, you do not want to miss your regional meeting, so please save the date!

This spring I asked Shannon Few, our Executive Director to put together a task force to tackle a very important exercise for the association. The Market Evaluation Task Force was formed and charged with taking a close look at:
- The businesses AAF serves today
- The AAF value proposition
- Whether or not we should be serving adjacent markets
- If the task force decided the association should expand to serve more channels, they would also work on a recommendation regarding rebrand/renaming of AAF
The task force was advised to come into this exercise with an open mind and not assume that we have to make any drastic changes, nor do we want to lose focus on members that have been loyal for decades. I’m happy to report that the task force members did an incredible job of evaluating each item shared above and they submitted a recommendation to the Executive Committee in July. The Executive Committee unanimously approved the recommendation to be brought forward to our Board of Directors which we did last week. The board is also very supportive of the recommendation and we are looking forward to bringing all of our members the details during our Fall Road Show in just a few weeks!
