The Evolution of AAF Webinar

Today AAF serves security, fire, AV/Automation, and electrical contractors throughout the State of Florida. The task force evaluated a few additional adjacent markets (ie. Locksmiths, solar, IT etc.) and decided that we should stick to serving our core Security, Automation, Fire and Electrical markets that we already work with today. Throughout the research and analysis that the task force conducted, they also felt that it is time to evolve the AAF name and brand. Today, the “Alarm Association of Florida” doesn’t fully capture all that our members provide including video surveillance, access control, fire systems, sprinklers, structured cabling, AV, home theaters, automation and more. Therefore, after a ton of work the task force has recommended that AAF evolve to IAF, the Integration Association of Florida!
The task force worked across many areas including relevance to our strategic objectives, engaging our target markets, legal considerations, marketing considerations, budgeting considerations, vertical representation/board composition, and built an entire process, timeline, and communication plan to ensure the success of this very important initiative. To say that I was extremely impressed with the work this group of intelligent individuals accomplished within a few months is an understatement.
The Task Force Members, Executive Committee and Board of Directors firmly believe that this evolution of our association will provide a significant boost to our revenue, visibility, growth, and influence translating into long term success, enabling us to continue to increase our member benefits, training program, workforce development initiatives, serving as the legislative watchdog for the industry, and providing an improved member experience for years to come!
